About the event

Oxfam at Guelph welcomes four renowned keynote speakers, who will deliver presentations and lead discussions on the following topics:

  • Accessibility to Healthcare for Marginalized Groups
  • Sex Differences and Underrepresentation in Medical Research
  • Sex and Gender Diversity and Inclusion in Health and Education
  • Indigenous Wellness: Generational Effects of Colonization

In between keynotes, participants will take part in morning and afternoon interactive workshop sessions. There are a total of 4 unique workshops, however we have paired them up into Group A and B, and they will run simultaneously so attendees may choose which grouping to attend based on their interests. When registering for your ticket, please select either:

  • Group A:

Morning Session: Mental Wellness for Men: A Look at Toxic Masculinity

Afternoon Session: Role of Government Policy in Achieving Reproductive Autonomy

OR

  • Group B:

Morning Session: Social and Ecological Determinants of Health

Afternoon Session: The Importance of Sex Ed

There are limited spots per workshop group so please sign up as soon as possible to ensure you get your first choice.

Lunch and refreshments (vegan and gluten-free friendly) will be catered.
